MIGRAINES AND HEADACHES
Research shows that more than 50% headaches begin in the neck.
Risk factors include:
- Sitting at a desk or computer
- Whiplash injury even if it happens many years ago.
- Chronic pelvis problems causing bad posture.
- Often the tempero mandibular joint or TMJ is involved.
- Clicking or popping in jaw joint when chewing.
- Pain in temporal region.
Migraines are characterized by pain, but also flashing, lights in your eyes, nausea or vomiting. It can lasts several hours and often need to be in a dark room.
Treatment includes examination of neck and its associated cranial bones.
